God has blessed America
Thanks for joining us for Fourth of July weekend at Grace! We begin Sunday worship with reflections on our country – a great gift from God Himself.
We must never forget the many ways He has cared for the United States. Our freedoms, our people, our values, our prosperity – all are blessings!
How do we respond to a God who has given our country so much? What should we do with these blessings? Words like this should flow…
“Thank You, God!” Praise Him always for His goodness to our nation.
“Great Job!” Give God the credit for good things. As in the book of Daniel, it is God who establishes nations and rulers – He is in charge!
“I want to be like You, God!” Just as God has blessed us, we should bless others! As a nation, we should continue our efforts as agents of peace, leaders of change, and helpers to those in need.
“Forgive us, God!” At times, we have become too comfortable and insulated from world issues, and tend to only seek the things that benefit us. We need the compassionate and selfless heart of Jesus, who called His people to “Go into all the nations…” (Matthew 28:19-20).
We are blessed. America is a wonderful place to live. But our blessings are at their best when we serve others, with God’s Kingdom in mind!
