Happy Mother’s Day!!

Today, we want to give a special thank you and tribute to all of our Moms. It’s a tough job. There’s no sense in pretending otherwise – being a mother takes a lot of work, a lot of patience, a lot of love, and a lot of sacrifice.

God places a high value on motherhood, and over three hundred verses in the Bible talk about mothers. Proverbs 23:25 encourages us, “May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice!” In other words, we sons and daughters have the God-given opportunity to make Mom proud.

Tell your Mom “thank you” all the time. Praise her with words of encouragement, appreciation, and admiration. Ask her questions and tap into her wisdom, her heart, and her perspectives. The Bible frequently mentions the value of listening to and obeying our mothers – actions that bring God’s favor and wisdom as well!

Our “Questions for God” series will focus on what life in Heaven will be like for those who follow Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the love, care, and protection from our earthly mothers – you have shown us a glimpse of Heaven! In Isaiah 66:13, God says, “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you.”
